[Steve nods as he sets his hands on his hips, allowing a smile to curl up his lips.]
Yeah— I’ve always found it takes your focus away from any thoughts you don’t want to be dwelling on and helps you focus instead on the important things.
[He shrugs, glancing around the gym for a moment. He’d already been for his run today, so he planned on being here for an hour or so yet before moving onto finding something else to do. He’s still got a helluva lot of things to do— be it finding his friend or contacting the other Avengers.]
This place is mostly like this, yeah. Occasionally you’ll get a couple of other guys in here, but mostly it seems to be just me. It’s why I like coming here— most gym in this city are busy so you don’t get a chance to use the equipment how you’d like to.
[Even though he tends to get distracted punching punch bag after punch bag until he’s broken them all— but that’s another story.]
It’ll be good to see you around more. You look like a guy who knows what he’s doing in here.

[Someone else who understood his need to run. It was strange and yet comforting at the same time. Though he was certain the other wasn’t running like he was – away from life and towards whatever else he could find.]
Exactly. And depending on the time o'day you can focus on nothing more than the rhythm of your feet hitting the pavement. Just tune the rest of the world out and focus on something as simple as your feet or even your heartbeat. Ever find yourself on autopilot? You just let your feet take you wherever it is they want t'go?
[Or maybe he was just the oddball. Not that it mattered. Eames was only there for a few weeks, three or four months tops and then he’d be gone again. A shame considering he might have found a good place to work out. And someone he could actually enjoy it with. It would just mean having to use it for as long as he was in town.]
Usually just stick to this one boxing club. Mate of mine runs it but wasn’t really feeling it t'day. Can most likely blame the bloody rain. Makes me feel like I’m back home. Though coming here will say has made the day just a bit better.
[He couldn’t really tell him that the rain tended to make the injury he’d picked up in the army flare up. That was part of his past and it always stayed tucked away in the darkest parts of his mind. At least until it rained or the weather changed and he was forced to deal with it once again.]
Well, knowing there’s a bit of a friendly face I don’t really see a reason t'stay away. Though you’ll have t'let me know ifn you ever want a sparring partner. Ifn you’d prefer a person to one of those. Might find a good challenge here.
