“I enjoy looking at the past, I have missed most of it and I believe it is important to learn from past mistakes. Not that most people do - human history so often repeats itself.” Aether cut himself off, wondering if it sounded odd for him to be saying such thing but he couldn’t exactly take it back. “It is a pity we live for such short times; in 70 or so years we only see small changes. Though the last few centuries seem to have been… Very fast paced. Do you like to read? Or are you not the sort?"
"Unfortunately I don’t get much of a chance to read,” he said, shaking his head. While he may not have looked like the scholarly sort, Eames actually did enjoy reading. Most of his time seemed to be spent working on forgeries of one sort of another. “But given the chance I do enjoy a good book. Especially ifn it’s on art. Bit of an artist, see, so enjoy stuff on van Gogh.” Sharing a bit more about himself seemed like a good thing, the right thing actually and maybe it would get Daniel to do the same. Then again, it did seem rather odd the way he’d been talking about history, like he’d lived through some of it and missed a good portion of it. And the way he talked of the human life span as if he wasn’t human himself. “Sad that history has this lovely habit of repeating itself because humanity forgets about the lessons of the past. I’m sure what’s happened back then will happen once again and will keep on happening. S'just how it goes, unfortunately. So you’re more a fan of modern history then?”
