“Gorgeous?” Steve was taken aback by the compliment, but nonetheless smiled, taking it graciously. “Well, thank you…” Grinning, Steve couldn’t help but wonder why in the world this guy wanted to know more about the good ol’ days. He wasn’t one to turn down reminiscing though. “Oh, no, a cafe is just fine. Really.”
“No need t'thank me for speaking the truth. Sure I could come up with other things t'say ifn you’d like.” Eames knew that not everyone enjoyed the compliments he handed out so easily. But it was all part of who he was – compliment people, make them at ease with him and they’d open up. Some days it was sad how easily people could be manipulated. “Well, there is this little café a couple blocks from here that I enjoy visiting. Make a lovely cuppa. Which is rather hard to find in this bloody city. Unless you’ve got another place in mind?”
